Which Directory Script to Use ?

So you decided to give a shot at the congested directory stream, and are now wondering which directory script to choose , as there is a jungle of directory scripts out there.

Well you are in luck, as this small article shall provide you with few links to most commonly used directory script. But first let’s look at what directory requirements are and what users look for most of the time while submitting their sites.

Users are basically interested in following features:

• First and foremost, ease of submission, remember if someone comes to your site to submit and gets lots as to exactly how and where to submit, than trust me you are loosing potential submitters to your directory. For example, too much information, too many fields for submissions and the annoying un-readable captchas.
• Mark clearly the payment plans if any, say $/year, $/month etc. etc. It annoys few when they see nothing mentioned like that on the submit page.
• Get most out of their money, if it’s a paid directory. Thus, having few extra mods or features on directory helps.

Well, other than above there are lots of other things one might look for, but keep in mind, keep it simple and easy for them to submit their links to your site, cause that’s what directories are all about.
